KFCB Hosts MultiChoice-Kenya Over Compliance

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Management, led by the Ag. CEO, Mr. Paskal Opiyo, on Tuesday 10th June 2025, held a consultative meeting with MultiChoice-Kenya officials, comprising Mr. Nzola Miranda (Managing Director, Africa), Mr. Mwendwa Maundu (Head of Regulatory, East Africa), and Mr. Elisha Kamau (Public Relations Manager).
They deliberated on MultiChoice-Kenya's compliance status and the Board’s proposed self-classification framework that, once enacted, will see the involvement of industry players in the examination and classification of audio-visual content.

Mr. Opiyo lauded the continued partnership between KFCB and MultiChoice-Kenya, assuring that the two entities will continue to collaborate on programs and initiatives aimed at spurring the growth of the Creative industry.
The CEO also thanked the MultiChoice-Kenya team for their commitment to ensuring safer spaces for children. 
He affirmed the KFCB's commitment to working with other online streaming platforms and broadcasters to enhance compliance.
On his part, Mr. Nzola, praised the collaboration with the KFCB, stating that MultiChoice-Kenya is committed to ensuring that content aired on its various platforms conforms with the KFCB's Film Classification Guidelines.
