KFCB Meets Radio Africa Group over Content Regulation

Radio Africa

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Management, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Christopher Wambua, today 14/09/2022, held a consultative meeting with representatives from Radio Africa Group.

They discussed about content distribution and exhibition in line with the Board's regulatory mandate. Other deliberations revolved around the Board's proposed Co-Regulation Framework which was informed by the overall increase in production, access and consumption of content that has inevitably led to the proliferation of unrated content into the airwaves and digital spaces.

The objective is to enhance compliance, ease the way of doing business as well as to ensure that children are protected from exposure to inappropriate content.
