KFCB Pays a Courtesy Call on the Mombasa County Commissioner 

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Ag. CEO CPA Paskal Opiyo paid a courtesy call to the Mombasa County Commissioner, Mr. Mohammed Noor Hassan, HSC, and the County Police Commander, Mr. Peter Kimani, on Thursday, September 26th, 2024.
This was on the sidelines of the stakeholders’ engagement with creatives drawn from Mombasa County and its environs for the KFCB's program dubbed: Creatives in Arts and Film Literacy (CAFIL), held at the Technical University of Mombasa.

The Ag. CEO briefed the two about the Regulators' Handbook for Film Practitioners in Kenya, that the KFCB has developed in close consultations with other relevant regulatory Government agencies whose mandates impact the film industry.
Further, the Ag CEO briefed the County Commissioner on the KFCB’s planned engagement with law enforcement agencies, scheduled for Friday, 27th September 2024 in Mombasa County.

In the execution of its mandate, the Board works closely with other Government and private sector agencies to ensure that its regulatory function across the entire film value chain is executed seamlessly and effectively.
The Whole of Government Approach to service delivery emphasizes the need to create synergies among Government agencies for enhanced service delivery to the citizenry.
