KFCB’s Engagement with Law Enforcement Agencies – Kakamega County 

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has pledged to continue collaborating with law enforcement agencies in a bid to ensure enhanced compliance with the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya. 

Speaking during a stakeholders’ forum with representatives from various law enforcement agencies in Kakamega County, the KFCB’s Ag. Chief Manager, Corporate Services, Ms. Nelly Muluka, applauded the law enforcers for supporting the KFCB in exiting its mandate, especially through the provision of security during field inspections.

She indicated that the KFCB’s engagement with law enforcement agencies is pivotal for the realization of a structured and coordinated execution of enforcement activities of the Board. 

“In executing its mandate, the KFCB works closely with other Government agencies to ensure its regulatory function across the entire film value chain is executed seamlessly and effectively,” she said during the forum, held at the Golf Club on 21st December 2024.

Speaking at the event, Ikolomani, Sub County Police Commander, SSP. Masai Makau, lauded the KFCB for organizing the engagement forum, noting that the activity aligned with the Whole of Government Approach that recommends for multi-agency collaboration in executing the enforcement mandate.
