Board Conducts Sensitization Forum for Law Enforcers in Nairobi Region
The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has pledged to strengthen its collaboration with various law enforcement agencies in a bid to enhance compliance to the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222, of the Laws of Kenya.
Speaking during a meeting with law enforcers drawn from Nairobi Region, Mr. Paskal Opiyo, the Ag CEO, KFCB, noted the important role police officers play in ensuring compliance to Cap 222.
"We recognize the support of law enforcers that is key in enabling us to execute our mandate more effectively" he said, during the event held on Tuesday 17th December 2024.
The Ag. CEO indicated that the engagement with law enforcers was geared towards ensuring more coordinated approach to enforcement activities by KFCB officers in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
Mr. William Bosire, Chief Inspector of Police, Kilimani Division, applauded the KFCB for organizing the meeting with law enforcers and pledged to continue providing the necessary support to the Board.
Also present at the forum was Mr. Francis Kigen, a representative from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), who sensitized the law enforcers on the Authority’s mandate, particularly the regulations governing the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drones).
