A Videography Practicum project under the COVID-19 Digital Employability III Programme was today, 26th July, 2022, launched at the Kenya Film School (KFS).

The practicum, to be facilitated by KFS, will see beneficiaries get first-hand experience on the use of cameras and other audiovisual equipment.

The practicum will cover video production equipment, camera operations, sound recording lighting and post-production.

Speaking at the launch, KFS Ag. Director Mr. Kibaara Kaugi, urged the trainees (students) to create content that matches the demand of the audience.

The KFCB Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Christopher Wambua, who was present at the launch, asked young creatives to take advantage of the high penetration of broadband to create and sell content online.

Mr. Wambua noted that although the number of Kenyans making money in the creative space has risen by 60 percent in the last one year, Kenyan creatives have not explored the full potential of the internet.
