Board’s Consultative Meeting with MultiChoice-Kenya Officials

The Kenya Film Classification Board Management, led by the Ag. CEO Mr. Christopher Wambua, on Monday 13th February 2023, held a consultative meeting with MultiChoice-Kenya officials, Mr. Mwendwa Maundu (General Manager, Regulatory Northern Region), Mr. Timothy Okwaro (MNET Channel, Director, Eastern and Southern Channels) and Mr. Philip Wahome, Head of Corporate Affairs.

They deliberated upon the Board’s proposed self-classification, Multichoice-Kenya's compliance status and the Parents Digital Literacy Program (PaDiL) that the Board recently launched in partnership with Netflix, Google and Tik Tok, among other issues.

Mr. Wambua lauded the continued partnership between KFCB and MultiChoice, noting that the two entities will continue to collaborate on programs and initiatives aimed at promoting the local creative industry, besides the Board’s execution of its regulatory mandate as stipulated in the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya.
