A Facilitative Regulatory Environment is Key to Spurring Kenya’s Film Industry

Section 4 of the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 of the laws of Kenya mandates the Kenya Film Classification Board to license filmmakers intending to film within Kenya.
Through the automation of its services, the KFCB has made it easier for filmmakers, film agents, film exhibitors and distributors to acquire requisite licenses from the Board through the Technical Management System (TMS), available on our website via: tms.kfcb.go.ke.
The KFCB remains committed to ensuring a facilitative regulatory environment to spur the growth of the film industry in line with the Fifth Pillar of the Botom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
