Kenyan Film Sponsored by KFCB Wins in Bollywood India

“Kizingo”, the Kenyan film whose producers were sponsored by the Kenya Film Classification Board(KFCB) to attend the Bollywood Bodhisattva International Film Festival, has won more awards in the ceremony being held in India.

The Kiswahili film, produced by local producers, featured and won many accolades due to its theme on imparting moral values on children while they are still young. It was ranked “Top 5 Must Watch Films From the Globe” , in the same league with films from South Asia and Argentina.

The Board sponsored the “Kizingo” team alongside KFCB staff to travel to Patna, the capital city of Bihar State of India, to participate in the prestigious Film Festval following the film’s recognition in the global arena.

The festival attracted 3, 000 entries from around the globe. Out of these only 100 films will be screened in the festival at Adhiweshan Bhawan and Sachiwalya Bhawan Cinema Theatres. The films under the non-competitive category were screened from Thursday through Saturday.
