What Do You Know about the Watershed Period?

The Kenya Film Classification Board is mandated by the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya to regulate film and broadcast content.
The Kenya Information and Communications Act (KICA) Section 46 (1) also empowers the Board to enforce the Watershed Period ( 5:00 am to 10:00 pm) to ensure that content aired by broadcasters is suitable for family viewing/listening.
Parents, caregivers and guardians should, therefore, be vigilant and monitor the content their children are consuming on TV, radio and other broadcast channels.
Protecting children from exposure to harmful/adult content is a collective responsibility.
