KFCB partners with Daytona in Inaugural Financial Literacy forum
The Kenya Film Classification Board in partnership with Daytona Africa among other partners hosted the inaugural Financial Literacy forum dubbed: ‘Msanii Jichanue’, at the prestigious Nairobi Film Centre (NFC), formerly known as Nairobi Cinema on Friday 10th September, 2021.
The programme, which targets Creatives in Kenya, empowered the artistes with information on psychology of Finance, Banking, Investment, Insurance, monetization of the digital platforms, marketing and branding among other areas.
Ms. Emmah Irungu, made a presentation on the Board’s regulatory mandate, programs and campaign during the forum attended by more than 50 local artistes.
She urged the artistes to support the Board’s regulatory mandate, noting that the Board is keen on collaborating with other like-minded private and public sector agencies to support initiatives that are geared towards empowering local content creators and artistes while at the same time executing its regulatory mandate.
To empower local creatives, the Board under its Sinema Mashinani initiative, acquired and refurbished the NFC, a State-of-the-Art facility that creates space for artistes to showcase their diverse art/talents for job opportunities and wealth creation in line with the Manufacturing Pillar of the Presidential Big Four Agenda.
Located along the Aga Khan Walk within the Nairobi CBD, the 850-seater capacity amphitheater is ideal for Live events, concerts, recordings, religious functions, among others and in strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
