KFCB & State Department for Children's Services Meet to Review Linda Mtoto Mashinani Rollout Strategy

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) and the State Department for Children’s Services are collaborating on the proposed Linda Mtoto Mashinani Programme to strengthen child online safety, promote responsible digital engagement, and protect children from harmful audio-visual content.

During a technical meeting held today, 20 July 2026, to review the implementation strategy, Children’s Services Principal Secretary CPA Carren Ageng’o commended the team, noting that collaboration is key to the programme’s success.

She also underscored the need to raise awareness of children’s rights and welfare, strengthen child online safety, promote family values, and develop effective frameworks to protect children from inappropriate audio-visual content.

The proposed programme aligns with KFCB’s Consumer Advisory function and will be implemented through a coordinated, multi-sectoral, stakeholder-driven, and community- centred approach.
