KFCB Unveils Regulatory Handbook for Film Practitioners 

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) in collaboration with other industry stakeholders has developed a regulatory handbook for creatives and film practitioners in Kenya.
The handbook, is a guide for creatives, as it provides the relevant information they need to know in pursuit of their creative works.
Speaking during the Creative in Arts and Film Literacy (CAFIL) Program, held at the Hotel Konste, on Thursday 19th September 2024, Mr. Marcos, Masiga, the KFCB’s Ag. Manager, Licensing, urged creatives to take advantage of the information in the regulatory handbook for their benefit.

Mr. Masiga further revealed that the KFCB in partnership with stakeholders has developed a draft Incentives Framework for Film Practitioners that seeks to promote the local film sector.
Themed: #UsaniiSafe4All, the KFCB’s CAFIL Program, which will also be rolled out to other regions, seeks to empower creatives in Arts and Film to create content that upholds Kenya's cultural values while safeguarding children from exposure to inappropriate media content.
The CAFIL program which targets stakeholders in the creative industry will be implemented in Nakuru, Embu, and Mombasa, before being rolled out to other regions in Kenya.
