The series opens with mourners attending a burial of Mama Matron, Mathew shows up to the burial with his family to mourn the death of the woman who raised him in the orphanage where he meets Annabelle his childhood girlfriend, Mathew's wife seems bothered with their closeness. Drama continues when Mathew is nearly caught by his wife as he cuddled Annabelle in the kitchen. Annabelle's mum Rita collapses as Annabelle and her daughters were almost leaving.
