Board Committed to Championing Clean Content Consumption among Children

The Kenya Film Classification Board, on Saturday 29th July 2023, sensitized children drawn from various estates within Kitengela Prison Road, Kajiado County, on consuming clean audio-visual content, especially now that schools are about to close, and learners will be at home for the August holidays.
While Speaking during the Child Online Protection forum organized by the Amazing Eagles Mentorship Programme, the Board's Corporate Communications Manager, Nelly Muluka, emphasised that protecting children from exposure to inappropriate content is a collective responsibility.
She urged parents and caregivers to keenly monitor the content children access on broadcast channels and digital devices and guide them appropriately.

She also advised children to exercise discipline, respect for authority, and focus on their studies as well as growing their talents.
During the forum, the Board's representatives participated in fun-filled activities and also donated some dry foodstuff to the children as part of the Board’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The KFCB is committed to working with public and private sector partners on campaigns, aimed at protecting children from exposure to inappropriate audio-visual content in line with our consumer advisory function.
