Board’s Participation at the World Scouts Parliamentary Union Kenya Second Induction Workshop

The Kenya Film Classification Board participated at the closing ceremony of a three-day World Scouts Parliamentary Union Kenya (WSPU) second induction workshop held on 17th December, 2021 at the Sun and Sand Beach Resort in Mombasa County. 

KFCB's Corporate Communications Manager Ms. Nelly Muluka, represented the Board at the event and presided over the closing ceremony of the event that began on Wednesday 15th December 2021, organized by WSPU Kenya in collaboration with other key partners.

WSPU Kenya is an affiliate of the World Scout Parliamentary Union that draws its membership from Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of County Assembly (MCAs), representatives from the Council of Governors (COG), affiliate members and corporate members.

The Board leveraged on the event and sensitized the participants on its regulatory mandate, clean content campaigns, and talent based programs as well as on the need for the youths to use social media platforms responsibly, especially this period schools are closing for the December holidays.

KFCB is keen on forging partnerships with like-minded public and private institutions such as WSPU Kenya as well as County Governments on initiatives geared towards promoting Kenya's culture, moral values and national aspirations.
