The Kenya Film Classification Board team led by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, conducted a virtual sensitization forum for the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) staff on the Board's regulatory mandate and other programs initiated by the Board such as digital parenting and child online safety.

The KIDC requested the Board for a sensitization forum to enlighten its staff as part of their weekly virtual information and knowledge management exchange program. This program is geared towards equipping employees with knowledge on programs of other Government and private sector agencies.

In honoring the request, the Board sought to leverage on the opportunity to articulate its mandate and demystify misplaced notions about the Board and its functions.

In his remarks, the CEO lauded the efforts by KICD to equip its staff with diverse skills and knowledge. Further, he reiterated the need to embrace shared values and be deliberate in celebrating virtues. "For a people to develop, they must embrace shared values and culture, it is incumbent on us to end the culture of celebrating mediocrity and start appreciating people who exhibit virtues such as honesty, integrity and hard work," Said Dr. Mutua.
