CEO Visit to the KFCB Nakuru Regional office

The Board’s Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua visited the KFCB Nakuru Regional office earlier today and met staff led by regional head Ms. Dokatu Jirma as part of the Board’s ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring compliance with content distribution regulations.

The visit is meant to explore ways of boosting the Board’s regional offices’ capacity across the country to to promote compliance with the laws governing content production and distribution to protect children from exposure to harmful film and broadcast content.

Already, KFCB has forged partnerships with key stakeholders across the country to create awareness on the adverse effects of unrated film content. The process of implementing the strategies of countering the challenge is underway.

The Board has also developed mechanisms aimed at facilitating the participation of all stakeholders across the country in the proposed review of the Film and Stage Plays Act Cap 222.
