Forging Partnerships towards Digital Employability

The Kenya Film Classification Board, led by the Ag. CEO Mr. Christopher Wambua, held a meeting with UKaid and Africa Centre for Women, Information and Communications Technology (ACWiCT) on 2nd February, 2022 and discussed roll-out of the COVID-19 and Digital Employability programme themed: Enhancing Livelihoods for Vulnerable Women through Digital Skilling and Development of local relevant content.
Through the partnership, the Board will sensitize influencers, exhibitors, distributors and creatives on cyber hygiene and their obligations for child-friendly and age-appropriate digital content. The project will also equip young women creatives with digital skills to earn livelihoods in the digital economy.

Forging Partnerships towards Digital Employability

The Board is keen on collaborating with like-minded partners in executing its regulatory mandate in initiatives that are geared towards empowering local content creators for wealth and job creation in line with the Presidential Big Four Agenda, as well as ensuring under our consumer advisory function, that content is clean and conforms to the requirements of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap222 and the Watershed Period
