During the interview, the Ag. CEO highlighted KFCB’s youth-oriented initiatives which align with this year’s IYD theme, particularly, the SDG Goal No. 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth.
The initiatives include: the proposed Self-regulation of VoD content, the Re-definition of the Role of Film Agents in Kenya, implementation of Sinema Mashinani Project, with focus on the cine-mobile truck and the roll-out of the Creatives in Arts and Film Literacy (CAFiL) Programme.
In 1999, the UN General Assembly declared the IYD as a day to celebrate youth around the globe and to recognize them as a critical segment that contributes to the political and socio-economic development.
