Kenya Film Classification Board Gearing Towards Academic Excellence and Nurturing Talents in Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County
Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua was the Chief Guest at the annual Mwala Sub County Education Day celebrations held at Makutano Boys Secondary School on 31st May, 2019.
Having his roots of success from Mwala Sub-County, Dr. Mutua challenged the community leaders to take the lead in sensitizing parents and guardians on the need and importance of schooling their children.
The CEO and the Board took the opportunity of the event to sensitize the students, teachers and the community at large on the Board’s regulatory mandate on protecting children from exposure to unsuitable content. Dr. Mutua urged the parents and local leaders to be moral policemen to the children on what they consume from the media particularly the internet.
