KFCB and Cape Media Seek to Strengthen Collaboration on Regulatory Compliance and Consumer Protection
Representatives from the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) and Cape Media Limited met to review and fast-track a framework aimed at enhancing collaboration between the two entities, particularly on regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and awareness initiatives to promote safe and responsible media and audiovisual consumption.
During a technical meeting held on 24th September 2026 at Cape Media’s offices in Nairobi, the team also reviewed possible partnerships in other areas of mutual interest, with a view to creating an enabling environment to spur the growth of the film and broadcast industry.
KFCB remains committed to working with stakeholders to create a facilitative regulatory environment that supports the growth of the audiovisual sector, talent monetisation, protection of minors from inappropriate content, job opportunities, and wealth creation, in line with Government development blueprints.
