Message by the Kenya Film Classification Board Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Christopher Wambua for the Kenya International Sports Film Festival (KISFF) 2021 Edition.

Kenya Film Classification Board is proud to partner with the Kenya International Sports Film Festival (KISFF). On behalf of the Board, I wish to congratulate the Safinaz Foundation on organizing the 4th Edition of KISFF, and its continued efforts to promote sports through film.

The Festival, which offers the best opportunity for filmmakers to share and exchange knowledge, skills and ideas, while highlighting Kenya's sporting prowess through films, resonates with our mandate of regulating film and broadcast content.

It is gratifying to note that the Festival recognizes and celebrates sportsmen and women who have raised our Kenyan flag on the international sporting arena and have documented their stories through films aimed at inspiring future generations in the Talent economy.
 

Film and sports are frontiers for job creation and wealth generation and provide opportunities for marketing Kenya as a power-house of sports and creativity globally. If well documented, such films are avenues of linking our local producers to external markets. This would in turn usher additional opportunities for filmmakers to advance their talents as well as promote Kenya as a choice filming destination.

The Board remains committed to collaborating with like-minded public and private sector agencies in spurring the growth of local creative industry. We shall also continue supporting initiatives geared towards identifying and nurturing talent among the youth in the Creative Sector in line with the Manufacturing Pillar of the Big Four Agenda and Vision 2030.
