The Kenya Film Classification Board, on Friday 5th September 2025, hosted a live public screening of the FIFA World Cup Qualifier match between Kenya and Gambia, at the Safari Rally Grounds, Kasarani.

This unique screening experience was powered by the KFCB’s cutting-edge Cine-Mobile truck, a state-of-the-art mobile cinema unit designed to deliver an immersive, stadium-like atmosphere.

The screening aimed to engage fans who did not have access to tickets for the match at Kasarani Stadium, creating a vibrant space where football blended with film, bringing the beautiful game closer to passionate football fans.

The Cine-Mobile screen is part of the KFCB's Sinema Mashinani Initiative, a program designed to promote and showcase local talent across Kenya.

While KFCB continues to uphold its mandate of regulating the creation, distribution, possession, broadcasting, and exhibition of audiovisual content in Kenya, the Board remain deeply committed to supporting initiatives that champion and monetize local talent.

We recognize the profound impact of sports as a unifying force, one that fosters patriotism, promotes national cohesion, and contributes to sustainable development.

The public screening, therefore, reflected our belief in the power of collaboration between the creative and sports sectors to inspire, entertain, and bring Kenyans together.
