Board Officers Visit Riruta Children’s Home, Donate Dry Food and Sanitary Items
Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) officers, led by the Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Nelly Muluka, on Saturday 1st October, 2022, donated dry food, sanitary and other non-food items to Riruta Shade Orphanage/Children's Home, Nairobi.
The donation was part of the Board’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aimed at giving back to the community and support towards vulnerable groups in line with the Board’s Performance Contracting (PC) targets.
During the visit, the Board's officers interacted with the children and also sensitized them on the KFCB mandate and clean content campaign under our Media Literacy Programme and Public Sensitization dubbed: #YouAreWhatYouConsume. They also gave them hope through words of encouragement.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Muluka said that KFCB remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at empowering communities in line with the Board’s CSR Policy.
“We are glad that you accepted our request to visit and make donations though in a small way. This donation is part of our CSR activities that aims to support vulnerable groups in society,” Ms. Muluka said.
Riruta Shade is a registered Orphanage/Children's Home that caters to children aged 3-18 years.
