Contributing Towards a Greener Environment - Tree Planting at Matuu Level 4 Hospital

Officers from the Kenya Film Classification Board, led by the Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Nelly Muluka, in collaboration with the staff of the Matuu Level 4 Hospital undertook a tree planting exercise at the Hospital's grounds during the National Tree Planting Day on, 13th November 2023, in Machakos County.
The exercise, which saw the planting of more than 500 seedlings, was geared towards supporting the National Tree Growing and Restoration Campaign to grow 15 billion trees by 2032.
The Board has for the past four years planted and nurtured more than 1000 tree seedlings at the Matuu Level 4 Hospital.

The exercise was also part of the Board's Performance Contract (PC) targets for the Financial Year 2023/2024, as well as our contribution towards a greener environment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Speaking during the exercise, Ms. Muluka said that the tree-growing initiative was timely and key in combating climate change.
"Caring for the environment is a collective responsibility and we must collectively support tree-planting initiatives across the country," Muluka said.
Matuu Level 4 Hospital Administrator, Mr. Festus Mulu, lauded the KFCB for supporting tree-growing initiatives.
"We are glad that KFCB has continued to care for the environment through tree planting at our facility," he said.
