KFCB gets New Chairperson, Board of Directors

The Government has appointed a new Chairperson and Board of Directors for the Kenya Film Classification Board. 
As per the Gazette Notice No.2385, dated 25th February 2023, Mr. John Njogu Njoroge, will chair the Board for a period of three (3) years.
John Muigai Nyururu, Hariety Namwezi Zitah, Stephanie Kamen Maseki, Kipruto Kiptoo, John Osimbo, Grace Mwendwa Munjuri and Raphel Ekadeli Loperito will be members of the Board of Directors, also for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 24th February 2023.
KFCB is a State Agency in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, The Arts and Sports and is mandated by the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya to regulate the creation, broadcasting, possession, distribution and exhibition of film and broadcast content.
Regulation of content is meant to ensure that content conforms to Kenya's culture, moral values and national aspirations as well as to protect children from exposure to harmful/adult content.
