Speaking at the event on behalf of the KFCB, Mr. Hesbon Orina, Film Registration Officer, lauded the producers for courageously addressing mental health through animation, noting that film plays a crucial role in shaping public understanding and breaking down stigmas.
“Mental health remains a critical yet often overlooked aspect of the film sector. Globally, studies indicate that one in four people will experience a mental health condition at some point in their lives, with creative professionals facing heightened risks due to the pressures of deadlines, among other factors. Through the art, specifically film, we can foster dialogue, empathy, and awareness that positively impact individuals and society at large,” Mr. Orina said.
