KFCB to partner with Religious Institutions

The Kenya Film Classification Board will partner with religious institutions to identify and nurture creative talents and promote moral values among the youth.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Pastor Esther Obasi-Ike and Prince Obasi-Ike at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nairobi, KFCB CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua observed that religious bodies are important tools that can be used to restore hope and societal values among the youth in the country.

The CEO encouraged churches to support KFCB’s content safety campaigns, noting that Digital Television broadcasting has opened the scope of opportunities that can be exploited to create jobs for young people.

“We are pleased to see that the church is investing heavily in radio and TV broadcasts. The Board will support the ongoing efforts by the church to build an orderly society that is rooted in the fear of God and love for fellow human beings”, said Dr. Mutua
