KFCB SEEKS COLLABORATION TO CURB PRODUCTION AND EXHIBITION OF UNRATED FILMS

This morning in Mombasa, The CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua met with officials from the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of Government led by Kisauni Deputy County Commissioner Mahamoud Salim and the leaders of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) led by Sheikh Khalifa, at the Kenya School of Government, Mombasa.

The discussed collaboration to curb production and exhibition of unlicenced and unrated films. Illegal filming activities can jeopardize national security. The CEO indicated that it was important for Government agencies to collaborate with KFCB to curb cases of pornography and radicalisation among the youth. Parents were urged  to be vigilant in monitoring the content their kids consume.
