Strengthening Consumer Awareness: KFCB Hosts ‘Askari Ni Binadamu’
The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) on 15th December 2025, hosted Mr. Sammy Ondimu Ngare, popularly known as ‘Askari Ni Binadamu’, who paid a courtesy call on the Board, at our Uchumi House offices, Nairobi.
Discussions during the courtesy meeting, hosted by the KFCB Ag. CEO, Ms. Nelly Muluka, explored potential areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening KFCB’s consumer awareness and media literacy initiatives, dubbed: FormNiSafi, #CleanIsCool, and #YouAreWhatYouConsume campaigns.
These campaigns are designed to educate stakeholders and the public on responsible film and media consumption, with a particular emphasis on promoting moral values and informed viewing choices.
The KFCB works closely with the public and private sectors in fostering a facilitative regulatory environment that supports the growth of Kenya’s film industry while safeguarding consumers, especially children, from exposure to inappropriate film and broadcast content.
