TASTE-THE-FEELING COCA COLA ADVERT

Following discussions between the Kenya Film Classification Board and the management of Coca Cola Central, East & West Africa led by Country Manager-Kenya Mr. Nicholas Mruttu, an edited version of the commercial will start running with effect from 13th April 2016.The discussions followed a public outcry over the “Taste-the-feeling” Coke TV commercial, taking issue with the offensive scenes involving kissing, violating family values.This morning, our CEO Mr. Ezekiel Mutua has thanked members of the public, including Facebook friends like Tom Japanni, David Sonye, Kigondu Lawrence, Joseph Murimi and others who brought the matter matter to the Board’s attention,  the CEO urged Coca-Cola to adhere to the Programming Code and KFCB classification guidelines and ensure that their adverts conform to national values and morality.”The Board is investigating other other adverts, bill boards, online commercials and posters and will issue a comprehensive statement on Tuesday next week. All adverts that air within the watershed period (5am -10pm) must be suitable for family viewing. Content meant for adults whether on radio, TV or film must not be accessed by children,’ he wrote
