Lala Kedarnath is the eldest son in a family of four sisters. Kedarnath makes a wish to her ailing mother, that he will only get married once he sees his sisters get in stable marriages. He has to fulfil the wish as he puts on pressure emanating from his childhood lover, Sapna's parents who feel that it’s time their daughter got married. With no money to pay dowry for his sisters, he reverts to selling one of his kidneys as well as selling off the shop he owned. Kedarnath loses one of his sisters through suicide which changes his mind to educate his other sisters.
